| Yorkies & Agility I'd love to get Rika into agility. We did a little bit when she was a puppy and I had access to the equipment but now that I've moved I don't know where to go. I know she'd be great at it. She zips through the tunnel no problem (she loves it) She's an excellent jumper and is wicked fast. Any suggestions for getting her started into it seriously? Anybody in the Beaufort, SC area who could help me out with finding a place that has the equipment available? Thanks.

| The list comes from http://www.cleanrun.com on the top bar there is a link to agility resources and information. You can search for clubs, seminars, etc. in your area. Please also look at this site (my small dog info center). I have listed links and general information on small dog sports - so you can click around and visit sites that will be helpful to you (look esp. under "Training" and scroll down to agility): Mighty Mite Small Dog Info Center I esp, suggest reading the "interview" - "Live from the AKC National Championships" - Pam Selby, AKA "Desi" gives a lot of helpful advise for people starting out in agility with small dogs. |

| AKC is the only one that doesn't allow mix. Every other agility organization does. |

| Agility or training clubs in your local area will host trials for different organization. You don't need to be in a member of a certain club to compete. You just need to be registered with the organization they are hosting. I hope I didn't confuse you. The first step in getting started in agility is to locate an agility training club or school that will teach agility. You can search for a place near you by using the website : http://www.cleanrun.com/agilityinfo/...clubsearch.cfm or other likewise website. I hope it kind of answer your question. |
