Rusty is 1y 5m. Yes, he is housebroken & neutered but when we go to strange places he feels the need to "claim" it. So, since we are going to KC for the big Meetup around lots of other dogs.... I dont want to be able to mark

OK, so your Rusty doesn't use the belly bands anymore, only for special circumstances? am I reading this right? I am worried that my lil guy is always going to mark...he knows where to go potty and he gets rewarded. this potty training stuff is very difficult with this type of dog...last night, he must have made three marks, I punished him by putting him in the crate for an hour...he has to learn. I don't know what is going to help this...
