![]() Thanks Kathy - My lil puppy is doing much better with the housebreaking now! HE doesn't like the puppy pads, but prefers paper. I also take him outside, that seems to work as well. It seems like he doesn't want to go outside. I heard that until he gets "fixed" he will probably have accidents. Not sure how true that could be, but that is what the vet said. He is intelligent and knows how to fetch, sit and stay. didn't take long! Kellie

![]() Mojo, it's not that difficult to understand. I try hard, but sometimes I have accidents. I'm only a baby, and I don't even get this computer stuff yet (I'm picking it up mostly just by watching, except when Mommie's away at work, then I play on the keyboard for practice). It's not easy learning all of this when I'm so young, and to see my name brought up in this discussion is HUMILIATING!! Try to see it from my point of view! And now the discussion of NEUTERING comes up!!!! OMG!!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

![]() STOP SCREAMING AT ME!!!! SHIFT LOCK!!! PUUUUULLLEEEZZZZZZ!!!! Please see my prior post, I'm just a baby and it's embarrassing to have accidents when I know I can do better and it's even more embarrassing to read about it where the whole world can see it. Anywayz, I see that from the outfit in your avatar you have no idea what the word "humiliation" means. ![]()

![]() Oh Oscar, I'm sorry you are having accidents. Maybe your mommy doesn't take you outside enough to do your business. Hey Oscar, since you can type fairly well, esp. for a four month old Yorkie, why don't you type your Mommy a note?

They should NEVER have access to the house while in training. If they have mastered the pad in a few months, then let them play more often in a gated kitchen area without any rugs, Just a pad down. If they continue to go on the pad, then let them have that area days but continue letting them sleep in the crate at night with expen still attached. I never closed the crate door on mine. It may take up to a year before they are ready for more freedom in the house, but with you walking right behind them each time for a month or more just to make sure they don't decide to mark "thier" new space, but to find their way back to the pad. Take them outside every hour or two during the house training period, for more exercise and obedience training. In the evenings we put them on the sofa with us with a chew bone for them and to let them know it isn't play time. They have caught on quickly that TV time is quiet time. It works. I always took them out every hour during TV time to let them run out the energy and potty. When I had to go somewhere and couldn't take them, I would play the solo harp music. This type of sound really calms them. I guess that's all I can think of to tell you how I do things. ![]() | |

![]() I have a four month old, trying to crate train him, but at night i leave him with a pad, which is not working well since he goes on or off the pad, but during the day he does pretty good, i have been taking him out of the crate for little stretches at a time, we had one accident, but he is coming along. ![]()
