Kristen took them for a few days and I noticed she watched what she eat like crazy because she was afraid of the side affects. Then we found out she is ADD and they put her medication that causes weightloss so I made he stop the Alli.

I had Gastic bypass in 2004 and I struggle everyday. I lost all my weight(160 pounds) and have not gained but I obesses everyday about it.

Here I am before surgery and next was the other day.

I am now 36. I had it done when I was 33. I would do it over again in a minute. It is hard work...alot harder than I thought but after the weight comes off it is worth the work!

a couple people on this thread mentioned we should have a weight loss forum on this board. I would love that. I do best with losing when I can check in with others and such. I was doing slimfast and I loved that they had where you can email people on there and help keep each other on track. I lost 17 lbs, then The kidney stones started to cause me alot of pain, so I had to stop attending the gym. I even stopped worrying about what I ate. I had gained back 5 of those pounds, but I lost them again already. Once the surgeries are done and I am healed, I want to go back to exercising and watching what i eat,

that is what happened to my friend ... quite embarrassing ... but it DOES make you thinkl twice before putting anything with any fat content in your mouth ...

Kinda like that patch for alcoholics ... if they do drink alcohol, they will throw up ... so it kinda kills the temptation ....

We tried to get a support group going a few months back.... only 3 of us joined in.... there was a support group "website" thing set up and everything. We all got so busy and quite checking in....Good luck in your weight loss. I just stay unhappy with myself because I ABSOLUTELY have the DESIRE to loose but not the "ability/will power" I HONESTLY think the ONLY way I will ever loose is to have the gastric .... but that will never happen.

I really just wanted to lose 10 pounds. Im currently on Alli and its worked WONDERS for me. Now i know its not for everyone. Yes, after having an "accident" (THANK GOD i was home alone) It really makes you think about whats going in your mouth. Honestly, after seeing that stuff in the toilet, it makes you think....Thats all the FAT that would be going into your body....kinda gross....And to the lady with the gastric, WOW...you look AWESOME. I hope i reach my 30's looking like that! You look like your 25!

I'm glad your having good results....I saw the box at the store and the directions said to exercise and follow a low fat diet, so I wondered if that was done why the need for the pills?....I must say the person who had her "accident" admitted to eating fried chicken

....She also said the same thing about seeing that fat ....what we don't do to ourselves to lose weight...

I did the math when I picked up the booklet on this stuff. Basically, I calculated that if you use it the way you're supposed to (in addition to a lowfat diet) that it would only cut about 100 additional calories a day. Not enough for me to justify the expense and the side effects.

Just my opinion.

Well the thing is you have to eat a certain amount of fat grams at each meal, no more no less. I had to eat 19 grams, i usally stay under so i have NO effects. Thats the way the pill is supposed to be taken. The pill helps me ALOT. Your not suppossed to have "accidents" if you do it right. Like i said i only had it once, and i admit it was my fault. I had a HIGH fat chinese meal that day.

But yea, the pill helps me when i have cravings for something high in fat, i know i just DONT eat it because i know what will happen.
