| Sebastian barks when he sees his reflection so IMO I think he thinks it's another puppy. It's very cute he runs back and forth to see if he will play I guess. Our pantry is mirrored and is the sliding type so is very big. |

| Ok, now I'm showing my really dorky, scientific side. To test to see if an animal is sentient (aware of it's existence) they actually do a test to see if they can identify themselves in a mirror. I'm not totally sure how the test works, but the do it on monkeys and dolphins, which are the only animals that know that it is them in the mirror. I definately don't think it's a dumb question though. Yorkies are so smart that I sometimes wonder if mine is senitent.

| I think that most dogs think they are looking at another dog when they look in the mirror. Riley will sit on my mom's bed and look in the mirror on her closet door and he goes ballistic. He runs into the other room looking for the dog he just saw in the mirror. It's hilarious! |

| Hey You!!! Come Out And Play Maggie has two indoor friends. One lives in the floor length mirror and the other the mirror backed curio cabinet. She barks, growls and does a real show. I think it frustrates her, because they won't come out and play.
