I have to report that Cookie absolutely had a blast playing w/ the treat filled bottle but of course I only put a few treats in. At first she thought it was just your ordinary bottle but as she rolled it she got a whiff of her treats and there she was trying to get them out...LOL! She looks adorable as she chews and licks at it and ends up almost sitting straight up, holding the bottle w/ her front paws. Yet another toy to add to the collection.

Hmmm, I tried the water bottle with two treats inside. Not much of an interest by Schatzie. Then came in Annabelle, nope she cared not either. They acted spoiled like, "heah, it don't squeek, kinda hard to bite, nope don't care, whatelse ya got?" Good grief...I left it on the floor for two days, they only walked around it. Oh, well I tried. I even rolled it across the floor, showed them the treats inside and all. Maybe Im not doing this right?

Is it a special treat at all? Like some beef jerky for dogs? Perhaps something with a strong scent will attract them schatzie?

You just have very discriminating dogs who wouldn't stoop to getting something out of one of your emptly bottles! Higgins, of course, could care less! He's sort of your basic beer-drinkin-dawg, while yours would go the vintage wine route....... Don bought a case of Poland Spring water bottles that we use. They were sitting in the corner of the kitchen floor. These are the bottles we put the treats in when they are empty. Higgins LOVES to chew the labels off and rip 'em up. Poor little guy was bored last night while we were doing something else. We heard a lot of heavy thumps. Hmmmm. Went out to the kitchen and there was Higgins sitting in a puddle. He had gotten out some bottles of water to play with -- FULL bottles -- and bit right through the plastic...... Aren't they fun?

I guess not all yorkies like hitting the bottle . Yes ,put some smelly treats in it and then rub a little peanut butter at the opening. That might get there attention.

Discriminating?? Nah, darn Schatzie and Annabelle would both roll in the cows droppings in our pasture if they could get to it. I try to keep them prissy but they sure don't act like it. I will try to rub some good stuff on the end and see if that works, thanks!

Hi, I'm new to the site. Your water bottle idea is very cute. I put a treat on the floor and then put a tupperware bowl over it and my baby just loves it.

| Treat under bowl, what a good idea. I'm gonna try that one too. The bottle worked for a while but then Ahia gave up on it.

Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Aren't Yorkies the BEST little dogs? I've owned many dogs in my life, but Higgins is our first Yorkie. They are just so different and so cute, they become the center of your life. We love pictures of our Yorkies.....can't ever see enough of 'em, so be sure to post one of Prince Amos..... In fact, I like the picture gallery so much, I look at the pictures every day because it just cheers me up so much to see those little darlings.l

I tried the bottle thing with Pippin and he loves it! First he tears the lable off than he barks at it for awhile than he attacks it...quite funny to watch and hear Last edited by ChristineMozart; 12-16-2004 at 08:05 AM.
