| Tibbe loves his tennis balls now but when I first got him, he could not get his mouth open enough or figure out how to just grab the ball by the fuzz, as his muzzle is too small to fit around the ball and it was too firm to squeeze part of it into his mouth. He would bark and bark and bark at it and then try to bite it again - and it would pop forward and bounce away. More barking and barking. Finally, he got the hang of how to get a bite of just a bit of it but he still "fumbles" the ball when in play and still "chews it out" regularly. I finally have to put the nice tennis balls away as this can go on f o r e v e r.

| OMG, ours has a tennis ball fetish or really any kind of a ball. He has had 2 fuzzy squeaker balls that he has totally demolished already. He too will drive you crazy with wanting you to play fetch or catch. He is really good at catching it in midair. It is so Funny. But we also took them all away for a few weeks and then found them for a few hours at a time. It has helped too. These dogs are something else......I keep saying to my hubby that this dog is so NEEDY. |

| This whole thread is cracking me up, I thought Princess was the only one that needed help! As for mid-air catching, I've been trying to teach her, and she, well, she DUCKS!!! I feel too guilty taking her balls away, she really loves them but wow, it can get annoying! And I don't know if others are like this but when she brings it to me she will not drop it! I have to fight her for it, sometimes almost prying her mouth open, then as soon as she feels me taking possession she'll "go long"!

| Oh this is so funny, Jasper will a lot of time not drop it either. He sits and whines with the ball in his mouth but he won't drop it for me to throw. So Funny. He will play and play until he drops....and the ball is still in his mouth. These dogs are just hilarious. We have sooo much fun with him...although some days it can be exhausting haha..... |

| Im kind of happy others have this problem... Laci is the biggest pain with the ball its soo annoying sometimes. Ill play ball with her outside or inside for over an hour, then Ill throw it a few more times and let her get it.. from there she sits under the chair and makes this aweful squeaking noise, until I get up and try to chase her around the house, then she hides somewhere with the ball and wants me to throw it but continues to make that noise.. she can do this for several hours... then she buries it in my covers and digs and sleeps with it..

No Longer a Member | Yeah, Rizz has gotten really bad about his ball, so I've taken to putting it away when he starts rolling it under my feet as I'm walking around. He gets really annoyed when I do this and will stare at the spot I put the ball until I can get his attention on something else, usually his Cookie Monster toy (the only toy he has that doesn't squeak ) Thank goodness others have a pup like him, or I'd feel like I had to take him in to a shrink, lol. |
