Chew toys for healthier teeth? I have been reading a couple of threads and searching online, but still confused about chew toys. Can anyone suggest me some good chew toys for my Yorkie? There are tons of dog chew toys are available in the market. I also found discounts on dog toys at Dog Supplies deals. Just wondering what the best ways to keep his teeth strong and healthy are? Looking forward to hear from your side. Any advice and recommendations are welcome.

I actually think tennis balls are good. Also, bully sticks.

| With chew toys, steer clear of rawhides. They absorb moisture and swell, making them a big choke risk. Bacteria also grows on them, due to the moisture and this may make your Yorkie sick. Mostly, I use hooves as chew toys for my Yorkies. The hooves are very durable and they can be filled with stuffing (peanut butter, Kong stuffing, homemade, etc.). They are also very cheap. I also like buying dried sinews - they are a bit smelly, but my Yorkies love them and they finish them quite quickly. This is great because they aren't lying around and they don't really have time to fight over them. Raw bones are also great chew toys! With chew toys, I like to keep it as natural as possible and I only give them animal parts to chew (because this is what they would have done in the wild). If you can get bully sticks, definitely try those! We don't get them here, but I've heard some amazing things about them from other YT members.

I give mine Bully Sticks, Himalayan Dog Chew, Antlers and CET HEXtra chews. Bully Sticks are the favorite and Antlers the least favorite. I'm having a sale right now on my Premium Bully Sticks if you'd like to try them. You can learn more about them on this thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...s-ge-sale.html or my website www.WestbrookDog.com.

I give mine Bully sticks and Himalayan dog chews. I give antlers as well, but Ariel will only chew on them when she knows she's all out of her bullies and Himalayans.
