| weird question, but i'm concerned Layla has this MOST favorite toy, a bunny, it was actually a gift in a GE... probably over a year and a half ago. Anyways, his squeaker is broken and now he has a tear in him. Have you ever had to throw our your babies most favorite toy? do they get upset? How long until they arne't upset anymore? I know I can fix the rip but his days are numbered. Here is Layla and her bunny. |

| Again, that Layla is just a lil Beauty!!! Her little adorable face.....Mom I don't think you can take that away! I know you can buy replacements for those squeakers, and can you sew up the rough spots??!! Isn't it funny how they always get those favorite ones!!

| Hmmm, don't throw it out, but don't leave it out either I would put it away for special occasions. Maybe make it a once a week toy instead of an every day toy. That way she can still have it, but it won't get as worn as fast.

| Awww Marci could you REALLY take that bunny away from that face? Can you replace the squeaker and sew or patch the ripped spots? Emma had a rubber squeaky glow in the dark frog as a puppy, she LOVED it. Well, she chewed him up beyond repair, and I got her a new one. It was never the same-but the old one wasn't safe any more She did the same thing to her snuggle puppy (the kind of plush toy with a velcro pouch that you can put in the microwave to keep them warm at night). I sewed him up several times, and he's still alive..sort of! Milli would be lost without her stuffed cupcakes-when I realized she loved the first one so much, I went and bought two more, so we will have cupcakes for a long time!

| I would keep sewing it! You can also buy the little plastic squeeker really cheap. I saw them at Target. There were several in a box, or any hobby store would have them too. I think a replacement would look and smell different to her. |

| is there a brand name or anything to ID it with? eBay maybe? If you could find another one just like it, and at nighttime or whenever she isn't obsessing over it put the old one and the new one in a ziploc quart size bag TOGETHER and maybe the smell of the old one would work its way into the new one?!?! Just a thought, but maybe it could work. And if you do find another matching one try to buy a couple of them so you can just keep smelling the new ones down, lol! Oh oh what about putting a new thread in the Yorkie products wanted section with these pics or if you can a good pic of the bunny by itself so everyone could get a good look at it Just last week I found a small toy for another furbutt who posted about a similar sitiuation cause he luvs his toy too and his mom couldn't find another one like it, and I found one to send to them. It's even a toy from the early '90's lol! HTH! cause I don't think sweet Layla is gonna give that one up anytime soon Last edited by erino77; 06-09-2008 at 08:13 PM. Reason: oopsie! |

| Hey Marci, Post a photo. Maybe we can help you find one. Although, we did find an exact duplicate of Gizmo's bunny and he still looks everywhere for his original bunny whenever the bunny is in the wash or the bunny "hospital" for surgery. We even sent this dirty, nasty bunny with him when he stayed with YorkieCrazy while John was having his surgery. MrYorkieCrazy took these photos of Gizmo and bunny.
