I really like the tip about the tights. I have some of the small scissor type clippers too. I have only had one go at Hedley's so far, and then only his front paws.

I want to keep them down before they get too long like our last dogs did. How often should I do them at the moment? He is 14 weeks.

I just check them once a month & clip a bit off if they're curving over.
How often they need it really depends on how much walking on hard surfaces they get.

But you really need to check if the breeder has left the dew claws on. If they have you need to clip those regularly as they don't get worn down at all & if left to grow round into the leg can cause real problems.

He still has dewclaws on the front, not back. I do them at the same time.
