I just check them once a month & clip a bit off if they're curving over.
How often they need it really depends on how much walking on hard surfaces they get.

But you really need to check if the breeder has left the dew claws on. If they have you need to clip those regularly as they don't get worn down at all & if left to grow round into the leg can cause real problems.
