| PLEASE HELP .. What Food Do I Change to: IN THE UK Hi everyone out there We in the UK cannot get most of the foods are friends over the pond get. I have had to change foods, as Teddy was being sick daily. HUNDREDS of POUNDS worth of tests show nothing, all are normal. For 17 months (He is now 18.5 months) He was fine on his Nutro Lamb & rice, Then he began to vomit bile daily sometimes with some tiny bits of undigested food and other times on it's own, so after 3-4 weeks we had tests and X-rays and drug treatments at the vet. ALL FINE ! I had tried to help this sickness by changing from Nutro Lamb & rice to Nutro Chicken & Rice for sensitive tummies. It didn't help, so I decided to change brands from NUTRO to ARDEN GRANGE, he was a little better and less vomitting, but it hasn't stopped 100% but I don't like the ingrediant list in Arden Grange, when I looked at it closely It consisted of Chicken meal (NOT NICE) and Maize which is corn, he is still on it now, but I want to get something better. (I USED DRY FOOD) I have been told Nutro Holistic is good. But I am not sure? There are some people who believe Nutro dry has made thier pets sick, like the wet food did last year. But I am not sure, no one in the UK has reported problems with the dry ? Have any of you found something good in the UK ??? PLEASE HELP my poor little boy needs the best I can get him ... How are things going with you |

| Try going online for Eagle Pack holistic foods. My Remi has been on the puppy formula, as recommended by his breeder, and now the adult food. He is 1 and 1/2 years old and doing so well I would not change his food. He also eats cooked meat, chicken, and yogurt and cottage cheese, alternately. Hopefully they can deliver to you. |

| Hi dianaww, I also have had problems with different foods but I have found Royal Canin for Yorkies to be a good one! It is from 10 months but I started Mollie on it at about 8 months and it never caused any problems! Mollie still has a day once in a while when she brings up bile and she always does it twice in the morning and then the rest of the day she's fine haven't a clue why! If you find your little one really sick and not able to eat try a little scrambled egg (just egg no milk). Mollie had to have a lot of operations on her leg before xmas and the vet told me to feed her it after each operation she had. Try staying away from sachets and tins as my vet warned me they contain a lot of salt and so that's why I stuck with Royal Canin. Hope this helps Ann

| I'm another fan of Royal Canin Yorkshire. All my three are on it, from my 11 month old to my oldest who is 13 & has always had a very sensitive stomach, which is worse now as she's got older & has other health problems. It's the only thing she can tolerate now, even boiled chicken & rice disagrees with her. My younger two get cooked chicken with a few veg, scrambled egg or cottage cheese for a change. If you don't want the Royal Canin, I have one of my Skye Terriers, she has a stomach that plays up, on James Wellbeloved. I've always found that's well tolerated in the past with others. |

Thanks for this I have been wondering whether to feed Royal Canin or James wellbeloved. Teddy was bringing up bile daily, now he has 2 days with no problems, and then he will bring some up again, and then nothing for 2 days and then do it again, so there is a 48hr cycle which is most odd? I will look at the ingredients of Royal Canin which one do you use ?

So your oldest one can eat this, even though she can't eat boiled chicken and rice that is amazing. I am sure Teddy has senisitvities to certain ingrediants. I will look into Royal Canin info on the internet now.

| Hi dianaww, I tried James Wellbeloved but it made Mollie 'REALLY' sick ! The fact Royal Canin does a special one for Yorkshire Terrier's is what made me try it in the first place I don't think i'll need to change it again now. I have also tried Science Plan and for my other dogs have tried Choice but didn't think much of them concidering the price!

| We feed Royal Canin 28 Yorkie and also mix it with their Mini Sensible variety. The kibbles are about the same size but the Sensible is ~supposed~ to be less fattening. I'm sure I read that dogs can bring up bile when their tummies are empty. So maybe 2 or 3 small meals well spread out will help. |

Hi, I am feeding 3 times a day, and Teddy still brings up bile daily now. I am considering having a camera put down to see if there is any reason, that the X-Rays, Blood Tests and barium swollow with X-Rays couldn't show up. He is happy and lively and not unhappy or depressed, but I can't let this keep happening daily it can cause other problems, constant bile .... Aren't they a worry at times.

| Update On Teddy - Sorry It Took Some Time .... Hi all, I haven't been on YT for some time, and then a kind PM from a lovely member prompted me to let you know the good news on Teddy .............. I am happy to say that Teddy is fine on Burns food, We feed him 4 times a day but it is no problem at all to us. He was still sick for a while, but it got less and less and less, he hasn't been sick now for probably a couple of months, so I am over the moon as you can imagine. Thank you all for your support over this situation, it was a real worry. It seemed nothing would stop his daily vomitting. Then we found BURNS food, I would never ever feed anything else.

| Every dog is different..its just a case of finding what works for your baby..some find Royal Canin makes their babies itch..people will never all agree on the same brand..I leave a bowl of James Wellbeloved dry food down most of the day as pixie does like to crunch on something sometimes..and then I feed the Natures menu pouches for her tea in the evening..she also has other snacks like apple, carrot, yoghurt etc.

Thank you Meggie, it was a long road, not only finding the right food, but all the vet treatments and tests too. But it is well worth it just to have our fur babies well and happy we would do all we can wouldn't we. They are so special.
