| I hope everyone is safe. I live in LA but have not been affected by the fires but I had some friends and clients of my fiances lose homes in Malibu and in Santa Clarita. We're going to go help them clean up but it has been a very devastating few days. Wish we could help out more but unfortunately there is not much to do since people have lost so much. Hope this all ends soon. I was also in the 2003 fires in Poway near San Diego. I remember waking up and seeing the sky all red and orange. It was really scary and you couldn't walk outside without a mask because the air quality was horrible. Didn't have to evacuate but came close to it because the fires were surounding me all the way around. They were put out just in time thank god. But it really makes you appreciate what's most important in life. Jennelle |

| My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you that are affected. Don't be outside longer than need be. You don't need to breathe in all of those toxins. I hope everyone is safe.

| My thoughts and prayers are with everyone! I also was there for the '03 fires. Super scary! I hope you all, and all of your families are safe and well, and come out of this unharmed!

| No Longer a Member | I spoke to my sister in San Diego. Turns out they were on voluntary evacuation, so they were planning on staying as long as they can. The hospital SENT HER HOME (military hospital) and cancelled her scheduled induce. They even sent home scheduled c-sections--everything but emergency because they were understaffed. So she is still sick at home with the flu and going on two weeks overdue. She can barely breathe between the flu and the smoke going on. It is probably for the best if the baby can stay safe inside since it is isane in the outside world! |

| Misty I will keep your sister in my prayers. Is it safe for her to stay there and breathe in all that smoke. |

She doesn't have any choice, really. She can't go far from the military hospital because she'll be going into labor any minute now, and all the hotels out there are full. We are over a 3 hour drive from SD, so if she came up and stayed with us, if she went into labor, she'd be hours from the hospital, plus many of the freeways between here and there are closed. They said if she delivers anywhere else, she'll have to pay for it herself. So she's kind of stuck there for now. Thanks for the prayers! | |

| Misty, I'll keep your sister in my prayers. If there's anything I can do, let me know. I'm in SD and really want to help out as much as I can. Today, I read that there was one birth during the fires. Was this your sister? Fortunately, today seems to be a little better. The air quality was unbearable yesterday, but today was okay- either that or we're all just getting used to it. The media coverage has subsided a lot and the winds have begun to calm, although there are still fires. Now comes all the terrible aftermath, but the city has really proven to come together. On another note, Lily was spayed today and had 18 teeth pulled...yes, 18!!!!! The vet said none of her baby teeth fell out and she had a full double set. I knew she needed a lot taken out but never thought it would be 18. Poor lil' girl has been so out of it tonight. I'm going to bring her into work tomorrow so Riley won't bother her all day.
