I tried to get one together back in February, but no one showed up.

What I think would be a really neat idea would be to have a regular Southern California meet-up that takes place maybe once a month, and we all go to a different dog park each month (like say, the 4th Sunday of each month unless its a holiday). Each of us knows about the dog parks in our area...we could post the addresses in a specific thread (maybe admin could sticky it here in the California forum). Then we could all go in a rotation, meeting up, regularly once a month, at a different dog park each time. Sure, some months we'd travel a little further than other months, but what a fun way to check out new dog parks, and really get to know each other.

What do you all think?

Actually, lots of dog parks are separated this way. I'm in the inland empire, and our dog park has a big dog side, and a small dog side...

I can't think of a better idea than a regular yorkie-pal meetup!!!

As long as we know the place is safe for our little ones, it would be simply marvelous!!

Well, you've got some replies on Saturday the 28th. That falls on the 4th saturday. Do you wanna try and make a plan with a regular thing like this?! I think it would be a lot of fun...something to look forward to each month.

I would love a regular meetup, especially while the weather is good. I see TriniCoco wants to join us as well. The more the merrier. Imagine a whole herd of Yorkie furballs running around.... what a sight!!! My little Mango brat will be able to have the "zoomies" with another Yorkie baby, YAY!!

Mistyinca.... I had to tell you something funny. I just looked at the video of Chloe darting around her kibble... taking it in her mouth and then spewing it back out again... all the while, taking that mad dash around the room. Mango does the exact same thing... it's just too hysterical for words. No matter how many times I put a kibble down on the floor, I get the same demented dash 20 times around the sofa, then the table, then my feet, pouncing/attacking it then zoooooooooming away..... it's just to darn cute for words!!!

Isn't that funny! I wonder why they do that? Chloe will often do it with other pieces of food that she doesn't "get" is food. I gave her a jelly bean the other day and she tossed it around and never ate it. They are funny little critters, aren't they? LOL

It's been a while since we've discussed it, but are we still planning a meet up on Saturday at the Yorba Regional Park, as discussed above?? I have not been able to log onto YorkieTalk for a couple of days, so was just wondering......

Yep Suzi, feeling the same here.... been hacking and coughing, but slowly getting better. I just sent you PM about that breeder we spoke about few weeks ago.

Mistyinca, post back here if you think you could make it. Would be great if a few of Yorkie-crazed Mamas could get together with our babies..

I have the same problem with a young pup and an older Diva....lol

I just read about the meet up and I would love to attend w/my 2 furkids, I had made plans w/another Yorkie mom but I will try to make them for Sunday.
