Groomer in San Jose or Santa Cruz I'm looking for a good groomer in the South Bay Area, specifically the San Jose or Santa Cruz area.

I would also like to know of a yorkie groomer in the same area...I've seen some pretty bad haircuts (friends dogs) and I don't want to take that chance!

I took Porter to Groomers Extraordinaire for his first hair cut. They recommended that for a first hair cut only to cut the face, ears and genital area and to clip the nails then about a month later do a full hair cut (so not to traumatize him). They did a great job and came highly recommended by a number of people. They are off of Lincoln Ave. in San Jose. I plan to continue to take Porter there.

I didn't really price shop, so I don't have anything to compare it to. If I remember correctly it was in the $35 range.

I've only had Porter's hair cut once, he is 6 months old. I will keep him in a short hair cut. I will be bringing him in this week because he is getting a little shaggy. I heard another customer in there say she brings in a picture of the cut she wanted on her dog (not a yorkie) and they will do it, so if you have an exact cut you want and have a picture of it, they can do that to get you exactly what you want. If you go to them, I hope you like them.
