| Me again Male yorkie needs new home in S. Calif I have been back to work for 4 days now and poor little Kojaks anxiety http://kona.kontera.com/javascript/l...rey_loader.gif is rearing its ugly head and unfortunantly he is not comforted by his fur siblings. Here is his story sorry it is kind of long: My name is Kojack. I am a 5-7 year old neutered yorkie boy. I weigh between 5.5 and 6.5 lbs. I get along great with kids, other dogs small and big and I also get along with cats. I was taken in my current mom about two years ago when she only worked part time. I had time to spend with her and that made me feel happy and secure. Now with the econmy in such a state she has been working more hours leaving me home alone with the others dogs but I still feel very loney. To easy my anxiety I have a tendency to let everyone know about my sorrows and I will bark all day until she comes home. When she finally walks through the door I have to stick by her every moment I can’t let her out of my sight cause she may leave me again. I am beside myself with worrry and can’t relax afraid of the moment she will leave again. When I am by her side I am quite and just love being next to her. I am a rather well behaved little guy and really want to please anyone who is able to give me the much needed attention. I would really love it if someone could be with me most of the day or take me with you and as much as I love my fur siblings I would prefer to live with maybe one other. I think this would also make me feel more secure and I could then really focus on house training. I get it most of the time but then I need to push for that extra attention. I am a little special in that I have a very thin coat and in some areas I have lost fur. It is a condition known as Alopecia (hair loss) related to dilute coat color is a recognized condition in dogs. CDA is characterized by loss of hair from dilutely pigmented areas. Coats are normal at birth, and onset of hair loss usually begins between six months and three years of age. Hair loss usually begins along the dorsal midline (middle of the back) and often spares the head, tail and limbs. In blue dogs with tan points (Yorkies and Dobermans) the tan areas retain a normal appearance. The good news is that I love to wear all the newest fashionable clothing. This condition has not affedt my health and as a matter of fact my mom started to feed me a raw diet and I have actually started to fill in more hair so I think I would prefer to saty with raw. If you have room in your heart to love me for who I am and are home a lot to help me feel secure could you please give my mom a call because I know she really feels guilty that she is not able to keep me happy and I feel bad that I am so insecure. |

| Yes I have contacted several rescues but they are all full and some are just being more selective of what they are taking in because adoptions are slow. I will not just dump him or place in the pound. I will continue to do my best to tryto make him happy but I feel like a failure becuase I just can't fulfill his every need. I was off all of Aug and he improved and I was really excited thinking we made it but since I started back to work I see it building up and to make things worse we have a new (unexpected) litter of pups so he is really feeling it. |

| Awww I hope you find a good home! My friend is going to write you later today she is interested. When is your new litter due? Will you be selling them or small adoption fees? I peronally have been looking for a puppy, my other dog likes puppys. She's like a little mama. It's hard to find a person here in S.Ca that is caring and wants to find a good home for thier dogs. I've been trying to adopt but I'm never in time. Please let me know! thank you Sarah |

| Does he have playmates while you're away? I find that it usually helps.

| Do you have family or friends that can take turns watching him, or at least come to the house to take him out for long walks a couple times a day? Maybe look into day care, and if you can't afford it, then try to barter with them, say, you will clean floors, wash bedding or anything for the price of his daily stay. I don't know how you can give him up after two years, but anyway I wish you both all the happiness you can handle. Good luck.

| He does have playmates but he is not interested. He is a true people dog. His only desire is to be next to his people. The daycare idea is a thought but he will not play with the other dogs. He does get along with them just wants nothing to do with them. As far as giving him up after two years... It was not an easy decision. I have gotten sick over the idea. I have had so much turmoil. I did not wake up one morning and decide I did not want him. He is really unhappy here. I am trying to make his life better. I can't meet his needs so I am trying to find someone that can. I just feel so sad for him. |
