Do you have family or friends that can take turns watching him, or at least come to the house to take him out for long walks a couple times a day? Maybe look into day care, and if you can't afford it, then try to barter with them, say, you will clean floors, wash bedding or anything for the price of his daily stay. I don't know how you can give him up after two years, but anyway I wish you both all the happiness you can handle. Good luck.
