| Looking for a Yorkie in La Quinta, anyone know of one in need of rescue/a new home? Hello all! My family is looking for a Yorkie here in Southern California, we are 30 minutes or so East of Palm Springs. I'd like to get a pure bred puppy (0-1 1/2 years or so), pet quality. I don't have an extra grand or two to go buy one from a breeder, and would prefer to give a dog in need a new home anyway. We can provide a great home, and lots of love! We live in a 2000 sq ft home, my wife works out of the house and so there is always someone at home to care for the dog, and La Quinta is super dog friendly; there is a dog park just blocks from my home! I've been searching the internet like crazy, and have tried various shelters around Southern California, to no avail. We drove two hours the other day to try to adopt a puppy in a shelter, but it was the first day the dog was available and they did a lottery amongst people who were interested... we didn't win If anyone knows of a puppy that fits the bill, please contact me! Thanks! Kyle Last edited by Kyle; 05-25-2009 at 09:18 AM. |

| I look on Petfinder for Az and there always seems to be so many in California!? When on petfinder, look up at the bar and click on the pet classifieds, sometimes, if you're lucky, they post a yorkie...It's not a shelter, it's private people posting their dogs.... Good luck , I hope you find your baby...

| Thanks for the comments. I've looked both at petfinder and the national adoption site. I've inquired about ones I've found on petfinder that I thought might be good for us, but haven't found a match yet. There are a couple on the national adoption site (Niknak looks perfect!), but as I said, I don't have $850 or so to spend (well, not that my wife is going to let me spend, anyway). I'm checking sites everyday, wish me luck, and keep your ears open for me! |
