| temp taking 101 I took my girl's temp this morning with a digital and it's 99.8, now do I subtract a degree or is it right on?

| Did you take it rectally? If you used a digital thermometer rectally, I would say you dont have to subtract. |

| Ok I just read this...I'm confused. I know you take their temp when you're anticipating labor-is there any other reason to take their temp? Do you need to do anything to the thermometer before you take their temp? How far do you, um, put it in there and for how long?
