| ![]() Mom's Temp is 102.5. Is that normal? She is eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom just fine....PLEASE tell me what you think. I hate to disturb them, but if she NEEDS to be checked, that is most important! |

No, I wouldn't take the pups, but the vet is about 30 min away, each way. So I'd definitely be gone over an hour, maybe two. It is the closest Vet, so that is why I am torn. I mean, if it would only take a few minutes, I would be more apt to do it....kwim? Thanks for the Congrats.

| ![]() I take pups with the mom. My Vet's 20 minutes away and sometimes there's a wait. It makes me feel better that the Vet checks the pups then, too! I think her normal temp should be 101. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ![]() Thought I've always read to definitely take the mom and pups in for a check up as soon after whelping as possible to check for retained placentas and/or puppies and to check to see that everyone is well. I'd take them all in...just for peace of mind.

She is being such an perfect little Mommy. I hate taking them from her to do the Tail and Claw...I have to take the babies from 12:30 to 3:30 according to the Vet, and I think the Mom is going to be devistated. UGH....I am not looking forward to that.
