Puppy mill, what can I do?

I realize this is an old post, but I want to contribute. I bought Bella from Cheryl. Bella is about 6 1/2 years old. She has addisons and has been very ill for the past 3 - 3 1/2 years.
I had emailed Cheryl right after Bella got sick to see if her other dogs had any history of addisons (oh, of course not).
Anyway, I guess I must have sent her a pic of Bella because I was researching her website today and there is my dogs pic posted under her tails of approval or whatever it is called - which I never gave permission for her to post. Now I know all of her approvals are faked up. Very mad and disappointed. Guess my fault, just wanted to post my experience.

Man I HATE reading about dogs kept in cages outside ! I just hate it. Chicken wire cages ? That is so painful for their poor feet not to mention - they have absolutely no life outside that freakin cage

you can do something - don't give up !! Contact your local news media too and keep trying - someone who is a pet lover will listen - I know this from personal experience ....so do whatever you have to do and you can help those poor dogs she still has.......

Good Morning all! Those pics are definitely photo shopped! I wish you the best of luck and please report this lady so that she can stop the inhumane treatment of the lil ones! What kind of a person would keep these cute lil persons b/c thats what they are a lil person with loving personalities in a freakn chicken wire fence! Shut her down now!

So sad.. I wish the AKC would do more about these people. I have a lady not far from me that all of her dogs are outside in pens. I have been told alot of puppies died this winter because the power was out for a few day. The AKC has been to her home several times and passed her. It makes me lose respect for the AKC when they come to a home with 50+ dogs caged outside and pass.

I guess my question is, what can someone do about a puppy mill that they know exists? I've got her address, website, and phone number. Would the ASPCA go out there if we reported poor living conditions? I know that in some cities and states it is illegal to own that many dogs. Well, anyway, here is the link to her site. I'm trying to understand here . This was a year ago that your boyfriend saw these animals living in terrible conditions . What I can't wrap my head around is why you didn't make a call to the athorities then ?

I brought this back up guys...I was contributing my 2 cents about the breeder. The o/p wasn't back to complain. I just saw MY picture posted on the breeder website that I did NOT approve with all the positive letters from happy owners - supposedly and got mad. Where is my letter stating my dog is deathly ill and has cost me thousands??? Where is that letter.

Wow, can't figure out where that came from. I bought a perfect yorkie from Cheryl Nims a few months ago. I have never seen such a spotless kennel. Stainless steel without a trace of soil. Happy playful pups that obviously loved her. You must have confused this breeder with someone else. I was so impressed I recommended someone else purchase their pup from her. They did and are equally as pleased with all the ongoing communication, quick answers to any questions, and a thoroughly healthy pup with one of the best guarantees I found after over 6 months of research. I would buy again from her, and will continue to recommend her for a quality well balanced pup.

I think someone has made the whole thing up about cheryl nims. I have purchased from her and am delighted with the care and quality of the pups. And I can assure you they are not housed in chicken wire! This breeder has invested heavily in equipment (like incubators etc) to assure each and every pup receives optimum care from the moment they are born. While I fully recognize that any dog can develop a health issue as they mature, the guarantee cheryl provides is a written agreement. If someone was truly dissatisfied, the agreement is a written contract and provides protection for both the purchaser and the seller. If there is validity to the claim, which I doubt, they had recourse.

I bought my pup from a photo on the website. She also sent me video of my pup. Her photos were an accurate reflection of the animal I purchased. Sorry, good photos doesn't necessarily come from photoshop. Someone who has a decent camera and can add a pretty background can and did do it.

I have adopted 3 yorkies from Cheryl Nims. We live a 2 hour drive from her kennel. The trips we made to see her facility have great memories. We first adopted a neutered male named Teddy Bear. He has been such a love that we went back and adopted 2 more baby girls. I assure you, I would NEVER get a dog from a puppy mill. Over many years, I have owned a dozen yorkies. NO, I am not a breeder. ALL have been spayed and neutered. All have been dearly loved. My first yorkie came in to my life in 1970. I have never been without yorkies since. I do not understand your negative comments. I have been there in person. I speak from experience.

I scanned the list and nearly every breeder I know is on it. Including those who work very hard at raising show dogs. Looks like someone resentful of anyone who breeds pups. I tried to contact their website and it isn't a legit site. I recommend everyone visit the breeders site, and ask for copies of certifications from USDA or their state licensing agent. These off the wall forums and "lists" lack a degree of credibility. How sad that someone could be ruined or have their integrity questioned by those who have not personally investigated the premises. So very sad.

I got my yorkie from her a few years ago. We took a road trip/vacation to Branson and stopped by on the way back to get my baby and take her home. My baby looked just like the pictures. She was polite and has been there ever since whenever I had questions. Her place was clean and her home too. We are making plans to go back to Branson and get another one for us and a cairn for a neighbor. We have refered her many times, and our friends that got pups, got healthy pups too. .. labrown, you wanted to know what you can do .... STOP lying about this lady. Cheryl Nims did not have anywhere near the 100s of dogs as you claim. My hubby is a builder and was impressed with how well her kennel buildings were built and how roomy the space was. Karen, would not go wrong getting one of Cheryl's cairn's!

Normally i dont get in the middle of these kinds of things, but since i bought my yorkie from cheryl i have to speak about my experience.
I own a beautiful and healthy 3 year old yorkie name bandit. Because i live in massachusetts i was not able to visit her home but i can assure you that she has always been very willing to help out with any issues or concerns i have. The picture that she sent to me of bandit when he was born is very accurate and i continue to give her progress reports of bandit and how much joy he has brought to my life.
I knew about cheryl when my best friend purchased a beautiful yorkie named bella from her. I had nothing but positive experiences working with cheryl and assure you that when i'm ready to purchase my next yorkie it will be from her.

this looks like a list of all USDA registered and inspected breeders. Some nut has decided that means puppy mill. The USDA requirements are much more rigid. I would be more inclined to purchase from this list than one that does not work with USDA.
