![]() I researched the internet for 6 months searching for the perfect toy yorkie. I live in NJ and I wanted a healthy and good looking toy yorkie. I could have purchased in NJ, but I wanted a 3-5 pound toy yorkie who was black and gold. I found Cheryl Nims (a breeder in Missouri). She spoke with me via email and and on the phone. She was friendly, approachable, and a wonderful person (and breeder). My toy yorkie is now 2 years old (as of yesterday). He is gorgeous, loving, healthy, and so sweet. What a personality! Cheryl Nims take the time to love each of her yorkies. She is very nurturing and raises beautiful, healthy yorkies who love children and animals alike. In fact, I am considering purchasing a second yorkie from her. I am a dog lover and I was very nervous, stressed and uptight about buying a yorkie online. Cheryl put my mind at ease. My toy yorkie arrived on a plane well maintained and healthy. I highly recommend her as a breeder. Thank you Cheryl. Alaina ![]()

| ![]() I just happened upon this very old posting that has been resurrected by another YT member. My question is, why are all the posters who say this Cheryl Nims person is a good breeder brand, spanking new posters? Curious...

![]() actually, some NON WHOLESALE breeders, who sell privately have chosen to be USDA. They feel it gives greater credibility and allows them to be current on new requirements. There are several on the list that I know personally who do not have multiple buildings, do not sell to pet stores, and do not have a factory type operation. Granted, some do, but it is unfair to apply that standard to all.

![]() I can only answer your question as it relates to me. I got my first yorkie 18 months ago. I now have three. I spend a great deal of time researching on the internet. I have visited this site before looking for answers that may have been posted related to bloody stools. I had just returned from a trip to southern illinois where I visited a questionable pet shop. I came to the forum to look for their name and found the posting related to Cheryl Nims. I felt I had to respond. While I may be a newer member, and certainly a very new poster, I am not new to the site. I guess everyone begins somewhere.

I just find it curious myself that now my picture is gone and all of these brand new yorkie talk people come out singing her praises and basically insisting everybody else is wrong. There is also a Cairn Terrier website in Cheryl's name. I just pray that she is the great breeder that comes across in her website as I know myself and all of you are very passionate about our yorkies.

![]() I have to be honest, if someone sent me a picture of a pup I sold them, I think I would post it too. Especially if it is as cute as the one you have below your name. I woulnd't have thought of asking permission, but would want people to see what my pups looked like. Thanks, I know better now. I have a coworker whose son has addisons. Many traumas with that. I am sorry.I had a pup with luxating patella and felt horrible, but know your little one has much bigger problems. I wish you well.

![]() I owned Gracie for 14.5 years, and she was the love of my life. I actually just found her papers, and looked up Cheryl Nims on the internet to see if her problems were a fluke - or if she was really a puppy mill. Although her website is great - from this site I would say she is a puppy mill. Grace had a ton of issues - from both knees luxating (3 ) to gastric problems and bleeding. We spent years searching for the proper diet which wouldn't cause her pain and which she could digest. She had spine issues and we spent thousands of dollars on vet and hospital bills. She died a year ago. She will always be my favorite dog (we have 3 other yorkies), but I wouldn't wish what she went through on any other dog. The Vet said she was in pain most of - if not all of her life. As much as I love Grace - I would never buy another dog from Car-Mir-Jac kennels.

![]() I just happened to come across this thread of emails regarding Cheryl Nims and her puppies. I have two beautiful half brothers, Marti and Morey from Cheryl. I bought them as older pups and these two have become like my children. They were in beautiful condition when they arrived. I live in NJ and they were shipped in a very good, sturdy crate with with Royal Canin food, all their papers, etc. I think it is wrong to call Cheryl's business a puppy mill. These dogs were not malnourished, mistreated or otherwise. They are loving members of my family. Any time I had questions, Cheryl always took the time to answer everything fully and completely. When my one dog had a bad reaction to a distemper shot, Cheryl, not the vet addressed my concerns and assured me it could happen, but generally the recovery would be ok. I would recommend and get another yorkie from Cheryl in a heartbeat. I think she breeds dogs with wonderful temperments ![]()

![]() Just my opinion and experience Ladies...nothing fishy at all. I don't profit from pushing anyone's business. Didn't realize "my first post" had to be about anything in particular, but thanks for letting me know.
