So Sorry to hear your little one is having such a hard time. I hate to hear of one struggle, but they can pull through. You're doing everything you can. Warmth, Hydration and Sugar for energy. They use up a lot of energy nursing so they won't eat much. I seriously recommend Tube feeding this little one. That way you can deposit a sure 1 1/2 cc of food without her working so hard, hopefully she'll be getting stronger. My vet told me to think of it this way, she'll die if you don't, so It's worth it to try. You can go to the vet and ask them to teach you. Or pm me or an another experienced with tube feeding, there's a few. Will be thinking of him, I've had a 1 ouncer pull through. Praying that he will also. Susan

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. He still has not gained any weight. He's 1 7/8 oz. I'm putting him on his mom constanly but it seems as though he is not latching on well still. You can pull him right off. Continueing to feed him wth the dropper. but with your suggestions i wiil go to the vet for tube feeding tomorrow.

If he should start to become limp and begin to fade you should take him to the emergence vet. If he's squirmy and alert I'd keep doing what you're doing tonight. We'll be praying for him, especially tonight. He'll likely lose some weight, but hopefully not.

The little guy survived through the night again! I'm up every 2 hours at night to try to get him to latch on then supplementing him after. He weighed 2 oz. this morning...WHOOO HOOOO! Let's hope this is a REALLY good sign. So the vet says to bring him in today...I'm really reluctant to do that. I'm going to pm a nice YTer to see if she can help me with the tube feeding, if not I guess I have to take him out to the vet. Thank you all sooooo much for keeping him in your prayers. I want to name him but i'm afraid too. He is so tiny, he looks so fragile next to his 7 1/2 oz. sister!

You're sweet! I'm sure he'll be gaining even more weightt, staying on this track for a while like the vet said. Afterall, he did get up to the big 2 because of you.
