| Oh no! I am so so SO sorry! I know Fern was so looking forward to these babies. I know what she is going thru after Sunshine lost her first litter. Lots of hugs to Fern and family. And you are such a great friend to go over to help out. Hugs Sonya

| That is sooo sad! I can't believe the vet said to wait that long! Usually they say four hours of nonlabor you can wait between puppies...not longer than that. Sooo sad......

| I am so sorry that things turned out the way they did. I hope Mindee is OK and you are OK. You have a great friend to help you out and take care of your other baby. Again, I am so sorry.

| Mindee is home Sorry haven't updated sooner but we've been without internet for the best part of the last few days. Mindee is home and doing well. It was a very hard few days. I can't remember when I have felt so scared in my life. As my friend (great great friend) posted earlier Mindee lost both puppies, that just tore my heart out. The last one was taken by c-section as it was sideways inside her. My poor Mindee, what she went through these past few days. I still can't believe the vet here wouldn't let us take her in that night. We had the emergency number and talked to him twice telling him we really would like him to look at her. Each time it was "don't panic" just hold on for a while longer this is not unusual. The next few times we called he didn't answer so we left message after message. He has never called us back to this day!!! We decided we had no choice but to drive 3 hrs. to the city. They were wonderful there, did another x-ray on Mindee to see where the pup was then said she would need a c-section. We decided to have her spayed at the same time if it was safe to do so. Surgery went well, they kept her until late the next day. She just started eating again this morning but is doing good otherwise. I haven't spoken to our vet yet. I'm afraid if I go to talk to him right now that I might hit him with something. I am so mad and upset over how he treated us and to not even call yet to see how Mindee made out. Unbelieveable!! I just want to thank you all for your prayers and kind words. |

I know that Mindee is on the road to recovery. Give her lots of love and attention cause she may look for the pups.

| My husband and I are going down to the office to speak to the head guy there. I don't know if he knows what went on but he is sure going to. May not do any good but still want to know how this could happen. Right now we're just happy Mindee is here with us. She hasn't been looking for puppies so far, just won't let me out of her sight, which is fine by me. We're joined at the hip!! |

| I'm so sorry that you guys had to go through that. I just goes to show that you should trust your gut instinct. I wish the vets would have been more accepting to that. I'm glad that she's doing well now.

| I'm so sorry. Mommies always seem to have them in the middle of the night. I am blessed that I have a great vet 5 minutes away and will meet me no matter what time it is. That 3 hr ride to the ER must have been terrible. |

| Just finished reading your post. Feel just sick for your Momma and the pain she endured especially losing both of their babies. Thank goodness you took her to the emergency vet and hope you received satisfaction after talking to your regular vet. Isn't there a creed to follow for a vet? Bless your family and Mindee.
