It might be the time:aimeeyork |
awww... they're adorable!!! worth all the worrying and fussing!!! you did a great job with mom and the babies!!!!! Congratulations again! Debbie Tea' +6 |
I haven't named them yet and I would like to keep them all but I don't think that my husband will let me. I'm trying to talk him in to letting me keep one but we'll see. I have a friend that wants one and hopfully i can find someone else I know to keep the other. I can't imagine giving them to someone I don't know I would worry to much. I will hopefullly find them homes that I will get to see them often. I weighed them again and it looks like they have all gained and ounce all ready, so thats good. She is such a good mom to her babies. She's so funny at night, as soon as the puppies go to sleep she comes to bed with us and then as soon as she hears one of them cry she runs back to feed them and she does this all threw the night. I know this because she jumps on me every time to let me know she there, it's almost just like having a newborn I', up every two hours from her jumping on me. I wouldn't trade it for anything. This has been such a great experiance. I LOVE it! |
I have been reading through many of the forums her on yorkie talk about tail docking and removing dew claws. Now my pups are not registered and I will most likely be keeping the black pup. So I am a bit confused on whetther or not I should cropp the tails and remove the dew claws. The mother has tail and dew claws. This is a very debated issue I have noticed. I was thinking about cropping the black pups tail just because thats what all the "standard yorkis look like. I think that my baby has a beutiful tail but she is a blonde yorkie and as for her other two pups they seem that there tails would be beautiful long but I am just not sure that the black pup would look so pretty? Tough descsion not sure What to do??/ |
Congrats on your new litter. I think that the dew claws and tails are all in what one wants to do I know that dew claws can be hurt really easy I would at least get those done.. as for tails they are cute to me croped or uncroped :) |
hmmm, tough decision. if it were mine, i'd leave the tails because they are yorkie shih-tzu mixes. i've seen a few of those and they are gorgeous with their tails. dew claws i would take off just because they can get caught on things and rip off, so its more of a safety precaution then anything else. |
Hi, you may want to open a New Thread and ask your question there about Docking the Tails and De claws.Just a Suggestion? I'm so glad to hear that All the Babies are doing Good. They are so cute at this stage and once their Eyes open, and than they REALLY start to Crawl and Run around the place.:) |
awww, I love happy endings. Congrats on your beautiful puppies. Pat was a lifesaver to help you out! So glad everything turned out well. |
What a good Momma, and love the description of her taking care of her puppies at night. |
Hello everyone! I am not sure if I should post a new thread or not so I will just try this first. First of all I would like to start out by saying the puppies are a week old today and I will be posting pictures soon. My concerrn is that I don't think she is feeding the pups as much as she use to it seems like that as soon as they latch on she gets up. Is this ok and do they not get fed as much being a week old? I have a scale but its not a digital so it is hard to tell how much weight they have gained but I think it says between 6 and 7 oz. Also is it normal for the mom to still be digging at every thing? She digs under the bed at night and under the cuvers when she is in bed with me and any where else she is about to lay down. Every thing seems to be going ok for the most part and any info would be great! Thanks to all! |
