| Yeah, I really feel terrible worrying everyone like that. As I was trying to say late lastnight... her temp just keeps rising & falling between 98.7 & 99.8, so I too think it will most likely drop to or below the 98.0 mark when she's truly ready. Baby's are still moving around, and the poor girl has bums, feet & heads partruding contstantly. I love the names Dawn, and just might use them~ I am most definately tired of the ups & downs & highs & lows she's been puting me through... she's almost actually taken all the excitement & fun right out of it for me at this point. Now I'm just ready to get this all over with It's almost worse than when I had my first daughter. Original due date they gave me was Dec 24 & I didn't end up having her until Jan 27 ...longest pregnancy in history I swear! The beginning parts of my labour lasted days & I still had only dialated 3cm. Needless to say it was a c-section in the end. Which is what I'm thinking may end up happening here if these pups continue to grow. I'm sure just like with me, it will all be worth it in the end, it's just the getting there part that's driving me crazy. I have some chicken in chicken broth ready for her, gerber baby food actually... and tums on hand instead of the ice cream for now. If I get out of the house tonight I'll grab some vanilla ice cream, and put the tums away for me... think I'm going to need those myself |

| Yeah... that's what I keep telling myself too "lol" Oh well, it's gotta happen sooner or later I suppose. I did forget to mention that I noticed she started producing milk on Monday night. Her belly also looked quite a bit diferent as of Tuesday. The babies seem to be lower or something. She looks a bit thinner around the spine area now & it appears more bulgy under the belly. The babies heads are definately facing her rear now too, so they did turn at some point. I sure hope she's not one of those dogs that waits the 68 or 69 days... I don't think I'll be able to last that long. I havn't had a proper sleep in days now as it is. We're already at day 65 so it can't be too far away now.No worries though... you wonderful folks will be the first I notify when it all starts I promise! | Sounds like they may have dropped and be getting into position. Be prepared, half the pups born are born posterior. Remi just had 2 and they were both posterior, the last one was a dry birth. Poor fella was hanging by his armpits for a while before I could get him unstuck!

| I woke up all excited, I thought maybe this morning was it, but nope! At some point this morning Lilly had gotten gotten out of my bed & I woke up to find her in her whelping box! I realized within just a few seconds that she just couldn't get back into my bed so found a comfy spot to relax in. She wasn't panting or anything, just licking her lips alot. As soon as I was out of bed so was she. I took her for her pee, let her drink some water, then proceeded to check her temp as usual. I just about had a jammer when the thermometre read 101.7 Then I remembered I had put the heating pad on the one side in her whelping box just in case she decided to sleep in it & got cold No wonder her mouth was so dry 'lol'Anyhow, the vet called this morning to see how we were doing and assured me that she has no concearns unless we go past day 69, and not to worry. |
