| Why is the stud not interested in Chloe? TodaY is her 13th day of heat and we have been with the stud 4 times and not interest other than licking and smelling. Even when she backs it up to him! |

| Try giving her a bath and see if he is interested then. It worked for me every time when they didnt seem to be interested. |

| bath Bathing is interesting...males react to the scent of the bitch in heat...never advised stud clients to bath them before bringing them to me...I guess soem males like the scent of shampoo..LOL IF he is not been used for stud, it can take time to get the hang of it..you may have to actually do the breeding yourself... |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I never heard about a bath. I will have to remember that trick if I need some assistance. Usually putting the two in a crate where it is quiet, has worked when the stud initially wasn't interested but maybe that was a fluke. |

| stud On the other hand, I would never use a bath as "birth" control!! LOL Most studs will not care how they smell or don't smell... All I ever had to do was say " Well, Shorty, if you are not interested, I will get Whiz or Julian"...worked like a charm the other way around also..especially if I walked into the room carrying another male. Honestly, it wasn't as if I was asking for a "root canal" volunteer!!! LOL |

| So today is the 14th day of heat(counting from the 1st day of bleeding) for Chloe and it looks like she is just now coming into her "prime".....constant flagging, though she nips and growls at him when he tries to mate. But it is progress and hopefully they will tie tomorrow! I am so happy to see this progress as I was beginning to think it wasn't happen........ |

My breeder said an experienced boy will not bother with them if they are not ovulating. And that must have been the case cause he sure was interested yesterday. | |
