Need your input ?????? Suki is Pregnant. But her eating habits are not there???? she dont eat that much and the only thing I can get her to eat is Chicken Breast from a can. I have tried 10 different puppy food hard and moist.etc.... going aorund in circles. I know that she will loose her appetite for the chicken, does anyone have any ideas on what to try to give her. I mix chicken broth with everything, She likes it for now. But I know what is going to happen because she is not eating as much as she did before, Any suggestions ???????? does anyone have any recipes or ideas????? I need her to eat so she has the nutrition.

I just want to wish you luck and hope you'll find something that she likes and eats......I know it can be difficult as I'm kind of in the same boat but mine will eat her dry food mix with evangers can food But only if I >> hand feed...the only thing she seems happy to eat by herself is a boiled egg every other day as a snack (she really dance for it). when is yours due? Mine is due July 28 and became very picky eater since the start of her pregnancy.

Hello Suki is due august 16th. I never tried the egg, Thank you for the information. Boy do they ever become picky. Your right Suki wont eat at night unless I feed her either. She likes the chicken warmed up at night, But wont eat it during the day warm. Go figure ! Good luck with your mommy too ! Congrats on the new babies. I hope that I find something that she will eat. I tried to give her the chicken tonight and she decided she didnt want it. So now I am back to square one. I will try the egg.

Are you sure she is not due until August 16th? Silly of me to ask you but on a previous post you said she was about 2 weeks pregnant and that was posted on June 20th. That would make her due about August 8th. Just checking so you will not be surprised. Sorry if I am wrong.

Glad you brought that up. We are still up in the air at which time when they tied that it stuck, the way that I figured it out was the August 6, But the vet said the last visit that he thinks it was later then that because of the pregnancy test was so light in showing the positive. I dont know. I guess I need to be prepared for anything. I figured since the last day that she let him. which would make it august 6th but I guess at tis point it is a guessing game..... Your right I just might be surprised. Do you think when she goes in on July 25th of the xrays that that might give me a better clue as to how far they are developed and etc.....?

| I just laugh but also feel for all of you that have picky eaters during pregnancy. I have the opposite with my Lexie. She eats anything and everything right now (due July 19th) I am feeding her 6 to 8 small meals a day, and whatever I put down she eats. If anyone goes into th kitchen. Lex is right unfoot, wondering if anhting is going to drop to the floor. Yesterday she ate a piece of tomato.....go figure!!!

lets really get into just how picky suki can be. I made London Broil on the grill last night and guess what she ate it !! In fact her plate was bigger than mine. I finally thought I found something for her. Well today I heated up some for her and now she wont touch it !!!! You should be very happy with your little girl.. My grocery list is getting bigger just to find out what she will eat for me. The fresh chicken breast dont work any more the london broil dont work any more......wish I had it as easy as you.....Almost everything that suki eats is by hand. She wont pick anything up off the floor.....

I do not xray until about the 50-55 day. Others have their own timeframe. So if you go in on the 25th of July and she is truly not due until the 16th of August then she is approx. 41 days along if that date is right. I would worry about it either showing nothing because they are not developed enough or worse yet harming the undeveloped pups because they are not far enough along. I would postpone the xray until you get a better handle on when they are due. You are right you will just have to be on your toes anytime from August 1st on. I would start taking her temperature everyday after the 1st. At least that would give you some possible forewarning. Best of luck to you for a uncomplicated birth and beautiful babies.
