I do not xray until about the 50-55 day. Others have their own timeframe. So if you go in on the 25th of July and she is truly not due until the 16th of August then she is approx. 41 days along if that date is right. I would worry about it either showing nothing because they are not developed enough or worse yet harming the undeveloped pups because they are not far enough along. I would postpone the xray until you get a better handle on when they are due. You are right you will just have to be on your toes anytime from August 1st on. I would start taking her temperature everyday after the 1st. At least that would give you some possible forewarning. Best of luck to you for a uncomplicated birth and beautiful babies. |
