| Red I want to know if there is really such a thing as pure bred red yorkie? I seen a website where someone was advertising one and was curious if it was a real breed or not. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | it is possible for the yorkie to be pure breed and an unusual color. A few people here have golden, chocolate, and red-legged yorkies. These colors shouldn't be bred for but occasionally they happen. Don't let any breeder fool you into paying more then a 'regular' colored yorkie for these color anomalies.

| I'm certainly no breeder, but when I was looking for a 2nd yorkie, I wasn't having a lot of luck in my area. I needed YT back then because now I know there are several good breeders here in Indiana. But a friend of my dad's had a female that was almost due, both the parents were reds, they looked like little foxes, almost like a less-fluffy pomeranian. They were very sweet, but I passed. And thank goodness I did, cause after searching for a long time and not finding one, I found Oliver, my sweet little shihpoo.

You'll find that you'll find breeders advertising rare, etc. to get more money. There are several wonderful breeders in your area. Please go on to YTCA.org or visit Steve's website yorkies.com
