yorkies from hungary?? HI All, i'm new here to the forum, so not sure if there has been a thread already. I got my yorkie from a pet store, which got him from a breader in Hungary. (i got very lucky because he's a good dog and as far as I know, healthy! and i've heard tons of storys about pet store dogs.) But wanted to know if anyone had any info, or knowlege about breeders in Hungary. I've run into some other yorkies from there also. He's got papers w/ bloodlines. But I've never been able to find out any other info about his where abouts... any info is appreciated. angela

Do you have any info about how your puppy got from Hungary to a pet store in this country? In the USA most responsible breeders will not sell to pet stores. They deal with brokers mostly. So, wonder if your baby came thru a broker or directly from the breeder. The more times they change hands, the more chance there is that the info on paperwork can get mixed up. Maybe you can get the e-mail addy of the breeder and contact them directly.. Hi, Molly. Good to see you on here..some of those Hungarian babies are adorable..

I'm not sure if they got him thru a broker or how he actually came from hungary. thanks for the suggestions. i'll keep looking. angela |

breeder Since you have the papers and pedigree, you can try contacting a few Hungarian breeders and ask them. Try.. erzsiudud@yahoo.com devilsofyork.hu/ Krotsytunde@freemail.hu I have seen these breeders Yorkies on World show sites..they belong to the FCI which I hear is important in that part of the world...but I have a feeling you are not going to like what you hear back..think about it? If someone in Hungary contacted me and said they bought an American Yorkie from a pet shop and wanted my opinion of the breeder..even if I have never heard of the breeder, what do you think my perception of a USA breeder who sends their pups half way around the world to be sold in a pet shop is going to be? You see, all Yorkie clubs have a code of ethics..the members can not sell their pups through brokers or pet shops...plus a good hobby breeder is even more particular where their pups go I find. Good luck

yorkie rose and shopper thanks for the emails.. I was afraid of that. i just took my little guy to the vet again and he's always checked out fine, (knock wood) There have been so many people i've met and read about here who have specifically yorkies from hungary. and so many horror stories about pet store pups. I'm grateful he's healthy and normal.

puppy He looks like a happy, healthy boy and I would just love and enjoy him. I have a feeling your puppy is very lucky to have found his way to you. A friend of mine insisted on finding the breeder of her two Yorkies...Sissy came from a volume breeder in Crownsville, MD. She took us into the dark kennel with no windows, cages stacked 3 high and the urine burned my eyes...moms and pups slept in cardboard boxes with no bedding, cleaner that way she said. Her male, Danny came from a pet breeder in southern MD..we went to see her in January. Her Yorkies were in an unheated garage. My friend, Sheila tried to buy Danny's mother, she was so cold..breeder refused...there are some things I would like to forget, I really wish I had never seen what I saw...it still comes to mind once in awhile along with dozens of other similiar situations.

I will like three puppies from Hungary and it seems as though you already purchase one. I will love your help. Most importantly I am looking for a reliable and trusting breeder over there. I have been researching and I found some lovely puppies from WONDERWIND.HU but totally not sure. I also know a lady that purchase puppies in Hungary but is very selfish and chose not to provide any information. Can you please help?
