| Fancy Face Yorkies... Breeder: Fancy Face Yorkies Location: Fontana, CA Anyone adopted a puppy from this breeder? She's found on breeders.net and was just wondering what your experience has been... positive or negative? Hoping for a healthy puppy (of course) and professionalism. Would love to hear from you. Thank you. |

| Not a good idea... Well thank you for at least viewing my thread even if you have not had experience with this breeder. It appears that I won't be getting my little girl from this lady Nancy @ "Fancy Face Yorkie" as she is one of those "breeders" that gets on the defense when you ask too many questions. She sent me two nasty emails attacking me for trying to be a responsible cautious buyer and then suggested I go somewhere else. She accused me of not really wanting the puppy when I asked for a referral to happy customers. I even suggested she give them my contact info. So wish me luck on continuing my search for the right baby. (I was able to answer my own question... negative experience w/ Fancy Face Yorkies). |

| Good job. Breeders should not get defensive, they should be glad that the prospective owners are prepared and will be good parents. I had a vet that wanted one of my pups badly. But she wanted to come by before their first set of shots, she was pushy and actually begging. Instead of thinking, that's great your taking proper precautions, she said "I'm a vet and I think you're being too overprotective" Meanwhile she treks in and out of the hospital she owns everyday and sees what parvo can do to a litter. But she didn't mind taking the risk with my litter. Needless to say I did not sell her any puppies. One of my rules, is to form a good relationship with the prospective owners, because they are the ones that we'll be dealing with and trusting the puppies with. Good luck, Susan |

| Good for you doing your research, and approaching things in the proper way! Sometimes it can take a long time to find the right breeder, and wait for the right litter/puppy, but it's WORTH IT!!! Best of luck to you!

| There are alot of really good breeders out there but it does take a while for you to find them. There are some members here that breed. I found that there really aren't many ethical breeders in my area, so I"ve decided to fly out to get one - that might be something for you to consider. And to my surprise... quality is alot cheaper than convienence. Good Luck!

| Oh, forgot to mention... have you checked out the YT Puppy Nursery? They can't post any sales there but you can see who's breeding, if they're going to sell them (when they're older) and watch them grow until then. Alot of people will watch the babies and then Private Message the breeder that they're interested in a puppy - before they ever get to the For Sale thread. Just another suggestion.

| thank you... Thank you guys so much for your support. For a second this lady did make me feel bad and question myself... but then I came to my senses and realized that I am definitely not in the wrong. I have gone to another breeder here in S. California (world kennel) and looks like I have found a baby to love. Kelly had so many beautiful babies to choose from... if it were up to me I would of taken them all. Kelly was asked the same questions as the defensive breeder and was not offended at all. Great personality while maintaining professionalism. Thanks again for your help. So nice to know that there are so many caring friends on this site. |

| Wowser - that wasn't very nice at all! As a breeder I LOVE to hear when potential buyers are asking questions about us. We want it to be a two way street and if someone is looking at the breeder then it looks to be a well thought out venture - not just something they woke up and decided one day that they wanted to buy a pup. Good luck finding your furbaby!

| LIVER Disease I have a baby girl from this breeder " Fancy Face Sentimental" . I was under the assumption that she had all tests and was in perfect health. I knew something was up with her after a short while of getting her. She was having some days where she just didnt seem right. She been having blood in her fecies every 1 to 2 months. LOTS of it! The vet had me try diff foods and cut her snacks. Nothing worked so we ran a costly serious of tests because I NEED to know what is wrong with my baby girl. She has Liver disease. I believe it is Liver Shunts. Her toxins are very high. We are currently giving her Milk thistle but if it doesnt fix things then we will have to give her antibotics. I have an amazing vet that tries to help u with natural treatment first. He is very caring and does not want to over charge people. I am so concerned about my baby girl. Anyone else have this issue with their doggies. Last edited by wyldeyez; 08-29-2011 at 10:52 AM. Reason: adding Breeder name |
