| Yes you should be able to tell by 12 weeks , but it is not full proof......they may have big grandparents...... |

| it sin't just the parents.. it can go far back into grandparents... so just because mom and dad are small.. you might still get a teapot |

| You must look back at the parent's pedigree for at least 3 generations. If there are big dogs in the pedigree, your dog is more likely to turn out bigger than average. There is usually one runt in a litter and one "big one" in a litter. Size at the time of birth is not always indicative, a big baby might grow to be only 4lbs while the super tiny baby might grow to 6lbs. At 12 weeks you can usually tell, but adult weight can't be 100% guaranteed. |

| Not sure if this will help or not, but I was looking at it earlier and thought it might come in handy for you. http://www.prouxchihuahuas.com/id74.html

| Having two small yorkies does not guarantee that puppies will be small. It all depends what's in their pedigree and how many times an ansestor is within that pedigree that has direct input to the size, structure, temperament and health of the pups.
