| ![]() hi everyone, i just breed my joey to the same female as last time, this was there 3rd time,ok so here is my concern.when he came home today after being gone for 2 nights, he was acting very strange, like he was scared and growling at my other male, looking sad and sometimes just standing there starring at me.he has never done this before, he is a very sweet boy,so i called the other breeder and asked if maybe something had happened, she said oh no everything went fine, he was wonderful here just like last time. so i dont know ![]() ![]()

| ![]() This type behavior is not at all unheard of. He is now territorial and may try to 'prove' that he is the top dog to any other male he encounters...particularly those he lives with. We had a similar problem with our stud. When we brought a new male into the house, anytime one of the females was in heat...even if he never even SAW her, he would act very aggresively towards the new male. As far as how long it will last, who knows? He may snap out of it in a week, it may never end. Ours was ongoing for over a year and we finally had the stud neutered, which corrected the behavior. Such are the breaks of having a breeding male. |
