Is it normal for your precious girls to talk to you a lot when they are pregnant? Mine just looks at me and talks to me like she is telling me something important and when I reach down to pet her, she walks away, I follow her and she goes to her bed. Not her little nesting site but her normal bed. Just wondering. Thanks!

She loves it when I give her belly rubs

She lies on her back and begs me to rub her tummy

The pups are really active inside I am so excited

If she due anytime now...I would be confining her to her whelping area. Otherwise, she may make her nest where you cannot find it or have puppies al over the place so that they can become chilled and die.

She is due at any time...... I would not know how to confine her to her whelping area, we do not put her in a kennel or anything. I do not want to be mean to her at all either

Lol, this reminded me of a cat my mom mentioned growing up with. This was before spaying was really something people did on a regular basis. Anyway this beautiful white cat named Gemini would get pregnant all the time. They had to watch her, because she would hide her kittens all the time. In the lining under the boxspring of a bed. . . backseat of her Dad's car. . .closets . . .cabinets. . . linen closet

okay she is acting strange. she "tells" us something like she normally does when she needs to go "potty" and we ask her and she walks towards the door but when we open it, she goes back into the bedrooms, that is strange even for her....

You really should have some kind of area, even a play pen....you may have difficulty when it comes time to feeding the puppies if you don't begin confining her now....Confining her is not being mean to her, it's keeping her safe and helping her come to terms with her whelping, nursing and mothering....

wow sounds likeshe is ready.. if you don't confine her I would watch her at all times.. don't take your eyes of for a second. good luck. you do have a welping box for her right?

yes I do, in her two favorite places, she is in her most favorite place right now, she has already drug things over there so she is comfortable

Her welping area should be a area that the kids or company would not need to pass by. It should be warm. She is probably trying to tell you that she needs a better place for her pups. I always opened my closet when i'd have a stray pregnant cat come around & put her a welping box there. Our room was quiet, only my husband & I go in there. The closet is somewhat private even when opened & stays warm w/the door opened. Just a suggestion. I hope you can get her comfortable soon, sounds like she is very ready & is waiting for a place she feels safe.

No news yet, latest I heard is that mama moved to the closet and that was at 2pm today, I am at work and I am going nuts, it should be anytime now. Maybe tonight, she is acting strange
