Her welping area should be a area that the kids or company would not need to pass by. It should be warm. She is probably trying to tell you that she needs a better place for her pups. I always opened my closet when i'd have a stray pregnant cat come around & put her a welping box there. Our room was quiet, only my husband & I go in there. The closet is somewhat private even when opened & stays warm w/the door opened. Just a suggestion. I hope you can get her comfortable soon, sounds like she is very ready & is waiting for a place she feels safe.
