| Ok, well if my calculations are correct, then we're on Day 55. But, you won't believe me when I tell you that she started to or appeared to start 'nesting' last night. She is the type of dog that digs in her bed before laying in it, but last night what she was doing was different. It does appear to be nesting as best as I can tell.... Now for the kicker: She's doing it to her PUPPY PAD! I am freaking out! I made a place for her to whelp and am going this weekend to get some whelping pads for it (as I read on here that towels and newspapers are a no-no). I didn't expect her to try to use her puppy pad though! I feel for her as I can kind of understand the logic behind it. How can I deter her from trying to have them on her puppy pad?????

If you feel a need for X-rays then do them later in the gestation, then only one X-Ray is necessary. I have read that routine X-Rays cause Cancer just like too many X-Rays for humans. I only X-Ray when the "gut" feeling tells me something is wrong, or had problems in the past. A careful exam after whelping, and she settles down will tell you when you might have one left in there. It took me 5 yrs before I quit shaking while whelping LOL Good luck, and hang in there! | |
