| Shipping Ok, So I have a bunch of people who would like my puppy, but they would like him shipped. I have never shipped before and still don't know how I feel about the whole idea. I just want what is best for my puppies. Does anyone ship? Is it completely safe for the puppy? Who do you use? How are the prices? Have you had any problems with shippers? How do you get paid for the puppy and the shipping? Any information would be great, THANKS

| i have never shipped a yorkie but have flown them with myself as escort or had people to fly here to get them but my husband has shipped his champion beagles for years and years we have never had a problem yet. Does anyone ship? Is it completely safe for the puppy? yes, it is safe especially on Continental. they do an excellant job. if you do a search on here about shipping you will find many posts of only recently. Who do you use? We use delta for bealges How are the prices? 170. for anywhere in the United states for a dog and crate under 50lbs. Have you had any problems with shippers? never How do you get paid for the puppy and the shipping? Money order for puppy and shipping costs before it is shipped. Any information would be great, THANKS We contact our buyer and tell him his puppy is ready to go. they then send us the money. Then we call him and tell him we got the money and when would it be convenient for him to pick puppy up at airport. we are retired so it doesn't matter to us. When he gives us a day that is good for him, I call the airline and make all the arrangements. i say I have a dog I need to ship to (name of airport. Then they give me the time and flight number of the leaving plane and any connecting numbers and tell me the puppy will arrive in ---- on flight--- at---oclock. To ship the beagles we buy the hard crates from walmart. you can tape food to the top of the crate with an index card on there that tells address of buyer and seller. phone numbers too. Put those little plastic crate dishes inside and we use newspaper for the bedding. they will take all that out at the airport and check the crate, then put it back in and seal the crate. i can't think of anything else but if you do, pm me. oh, we also have the buyer call us as soon as he receives the puppy and let us know the condition it arrived in. So far, so good. puppy has to be nine weeks old and have a health certificate from the vet no earlier than eeight dayss before shipping. You get a thousand dollars insurance on the pet but you can purchase miore for five dollars a thousand. |

| I have had three out of my 4 shipped to me. They were shipped on Continental, which I highly reccommend if at all possible. The puppies are the first to be taken off the plane, they send a special vehicle out to get them, they are brought right to the front desk. They do not get put in with the rest of the cargo. |

| I believe the price was $115.00 I had to send the money to the breeder to pay for the shipping, and $15 for the cost of the crate. She took care of getting the health certificate. |

| shipping Delta Dash was great. Have the buyer send a certified check...get a vet cert..and ship them COD...the buyer pays, no need to deal with payment on your end...and the buyer can charge the shipping which is what many want to do... |

| I would be very nervous sending a dog COD. Mainly because I would want to make sure that there are no problems with the funding before I ship my puppy out. I would just die if I thought my puppy was stuck in an airport because they couldn't pay. Therefore, everything must be paid before I would ship. I also check for direct flights. Different airlines have different direct flights. So check with that. Also, make sure you check with the rules for that airline. For instance, you can't put a toy in with them any more. Silly rule to me, but you can't do it.

| I'm thinking Continental was $174.00. I sealed the contracts and puppy info in a ziplock baggie and taped them to the bottom inside of the kennel. I paid from this end, but they could have paid at pick up. Over all, it was a good experience. |
