I don't think anyone confused her with the wife -- but your mom did work for Brushy Creek for 2 years, right? With all that was going on there, and she continued to work there for 2 years? Hard to defend that, even though I know you want to because it is your mom. Better to just let threads like this die if you want your mom to get out from under the stigma of working at a place like this. No way to really make it sound good.

Eventually Fox News got involved aired 3 segments about Brushy Creek Kennels and the dangers of buying pets online.

...Fox News (The reporters name was David also) told me they had more calls about Brushy Creek Kennels the nights it aired than the whole ENRON fiasco if that tells you anything.

It also caught the attention of INSIDE EDITION. They jumped right in and did an undercover buy. They documented it from start to finish.

They also were shipped the WRONG DOG and the poor puppy had multiple health problems....just like what was being reported.

I took a big chance posting online about what I saw at Brushy Creek and don't regret a bit of it. I dont recall saying much about Lisa but to tell you the truth - she made ALOT of money being involved with David of Brushy Creek. You can't tell me she had no idea. If she didn't , then she must have had her head in the sand or he was just THAT good at scammig people.

I didn't mean to ramble - but that's pretty much how Yorkie Talk became involved. I commend the Admin here for allowing myself and the others that followed to tell their stories.

I commend you, Villette! Thanks to you starting the thread adn getting the attention of Fox News, and eventually the Inside Edition, I am sure many, many were spared the heartache of buying one of their switched puppies with health problems or having them die on them soon after purchase. That is the sort of investigative reporting the pros get big awards for! You got heartfelt thanks and respect from all the YT'ers of the time!

I was a victim of Brushy Creek as well, I was so happy to find this website years ago and realize that people were taking action against them. Our little westie is now 4 and happy as can be-compared to his start there. Just out of curiosity- does anyone know what happend to their pathetic, no good "puppy mill" lying place? I hope they are closed and will not re-invent themselves elsewhere....
