I don't think anyone confused her with the wife -- but your mom did work for Brushy Creek for 2 years, right? With all that was going on there, and she continued to work there for 2 years? Hard to defend that, even though I know you want to because it is your mom. Better to just let threads like this die if you want your mom to get out from under the stigma of working at a place like this. No way to really make it sound good.
