Exporting a yorkie pup from Brazil Has anyone have experience with exporting from another country? I'm looking to buy from brazil but unsure because of all the scamming going on. the pup will be FCI Registered and have Inernational ch pedigree , does this pedigree will shows all CH like the regular we see or they are different ? would that Registration be good to change to AKC? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have not imported a dog from Brazil but I do have one that was imported from Brazil. The kennel my Louie came from is well know and that is the only one I can comment on but I am sure some here have dealt with others over there. Which kennel are you thinking about buying from? Can I ask why you are thinking of buying from another country when there are many here from reputable breeders and have dogs that are imported from Brazil and already are transferred to AKC? I am just curious and not grilling you at all. It is just chancy if you dont know if they are reputable and as far as the papers, if they are champions that arent AKC, then I dont think they will show up on your AKC papers. I dont think AKC recognizes the champions of another country or at least on some of my dogs papers, they dont show up even though I know for a fact they are champions.

I have been looking around but haven't found a Reasonable price for a nice puppy with a good lines , Besides many of those breeder won't let go the full Registration papers that I need. I'm no kennel , mill, etc. I'm a small breeding program with inside pet/dogs but they won't give a chance , that is my motive of why I'm looking from another country. I can get a puppy right away for about $700-1,200 Dlls. but since I do care about improving the breed ..... I'm searching for good lines and a good looking one that points to the standards. The kennel in Brazil is www.olivemount.com.br (Olives Mount Kennel) by Patty Olives.

Hi. I don't think that it can be too hard, as the place Tia (My Morkie in my avatar) came from gets her pups from Brazil. I would just be sure that the pup you are getting isn't coming from a puppymill in Brazil. It's kind of hard to tell if you don't actually go there and see for yourself. Best of luck to you. Elaine

I would not advise buying any dog sight unseen. Your asking for some major problems and heartaches. Why do you want to breed? Do you show these Yorkies?
