| I took pictures for Christmas and my girl Bailey's eyes flashed yellowish... And she's definitely a silky... Heres the pic.. She's on the right.. Her sister I questioned and was terrified she was going to have a cotton coat but she constantly flashes green...

Is there any scientific information on the internet about this? I have noticed this in some of my other dog pictures as well. Not every one of my dogs, but some have pix with green eye shine and same dog with red eye shine. Also, can the canine opthamologist send you some info or tell us where to look for the scientific facts? Inquiring minds want to know! | |

But after reading this yesterday I think they are talking about the color of the eye in the dark with a light reflecting off of the eye - Not the color of the eyes with camera Flash. I have 2 yorkies with gold eyes in pictures with flash, one yorkie with bright green & one 9 mth old yorkie blue with flash. Now last night I saw Scruffy's eyes with the kitchen light reflecting off of his eyes as a bright green & he always has gold eyes in pictures! Scruffy is beleived to be A Modified Silk. So this theory could be right??? I tried with a flashlight in a dark bedroom this morning - just saw brown eyes & blue on my 9 mth old.

| What the books say isn't always true! My very black, silky lil 9 month olds eyes show red. The sisters that bred the Wildweir champions, wrote a book, The complete yorkshire terrier. that discribe the coat and eyes and how it will turn out.

| Your 9 month old will most likely break late to be a very dark blue and will remain silky. I have had several who have done this and they have the red eye shine.

| Excellent info Quote:
Pebbles: Reddish yellow tends to run soft/cotton; TRUE Sharky: Blue: It looks like he will have a blue coat & not the black like the standard yorkies. Others: not sure Picture of their eyes can be seen on my website. Leesha's Little Yorkies
