With both my girls, we started seeing pups shortly after the clear slimey discharge. Everything sounds good, but go with your gut as to whether you should call the vet or not. I called my vet during my first batch of pups and he was great in telling me step by step what to look for. He also told me what to look for if there were any problems. It never hurts to call and ask questions. Any vet worth his weight in gold will tell you what you need to do. Because of my vets words I was able to help deliver one of my pups that was breech with no problems at all. Hopefully your vet will be helpful too. And it sure did make the nervousness go away by just talking to him.... Our prayers and thoughts are with you and yours!!!

I've tried calling twice now, they are out to lunch till 2pm

Just stay calm and keep her calm it sounds like you have a lot of help here good job ladies!!

Well if you get really concerned just pack her up and take her in I am sure some one is there and just not aswering.
but to me sounds like all is going well.

Okay, I called and he said sometimes it can take 2 to 4 hours for them to get going.....so since she is not in distress....he said to wait it out and see. Now if the pup crowns and stays there 15 minutes he said call ASAP. Does this make sence?

If she begins distress, what do I look for?

I wish I still smoked

There should be a water bag.

I hope she progresses a little faster....I have a Christmas party to go to tonight but I am going to have to stay here if that little one isn't born by then!!!
