LOL! That is what we say about our "little" Sadie. She is already bigger than Ben who is two months older than her. They get the same food and the same treats......unless there is some sneaking going on, that is.

hahaha that's Chanel too - I call it voluptious ...I don't say "Miss Chubbo" anymore in front of her cause it makes her hide her ears lol...she's very solid though and the vet says not fat. HA.

They can be heavier boned. I've got a frmale who is about an inch shorter than Connor and no longer than he, yet she outweighs him by a few ounces. She simply has a bigger bone structure.

I think a puppy is either genetically inclined to be small or larger.
I dont think a puppy should ever be limited on food at anytime unless they reach adulthood and become overweight.
I think breeders saying that would encourage people to limit food much needed by the puppy. Besides that I dont beleive it for a minute.

I believe it is something a disreputable breeder would tell someone if they knew the puppy was going to grow bigger than what they had told the buyer.

That way when the dog ended up at 12 pounds instead of 3 they would say we told you not to over feed them.

They might get fat if fed too much but bone structure is genetic.

You can stunt their growth by underfeeding, but not make them grow bigger by over feeding.
