Amniotic fluid leaking is fine, green before a puppy is reason to be concerned. The leaking fluid from the bag makes the "puppy" smaller so birthing easier, but if all the fluid comes out then the puppy needs to be born sooner (like within 10 or 15 minutes). Just drops means there is still plenty of fluid.

The bulge looks closer in this pic. Does the feathering seem to produce stronger contractions?

Do you have any Nutrical or Nutristat you can give her a little dab of to keep her strength up? Once this first puppy comes the rest usually come quicker and easier.

If you feel the contractions are strong than it isn't necessary. Is she pushing during contractions like hunching up? Her gums are still a healthy pink? Are the contractions bringing the bulge any closer to delivery?

| I have been feathering and she has had two contractions 9:20 p.m. and 9:24 p.m. these were definitely stroger she stayed laying down and I could see her pushing the side of her tummy rose pretty high with the last contraction she seems to enjoy the feathering shes relaxing in between contractions

Keep doing the feathering then it won't hurt if it's not bothering her - it's like when you are moving your finger to tell someone to come to you.

Is her tail moving up with the contractions? This is an indication she is in the pushing stage and the puppy should present within 10 to 20 minutes at the most.

Is the puppy making any progress closer or does it keep slipping back up? No more fluids leaking? The puppy might be too large for her, but usually Mom would be showing more distress than what you are describing.

There is a certain amount of stretching that needs to happen before the puppy presents (in humans called crowning, but we just get episiotomies (however you spell it) so we don't have to go through the stretching. Has the puppy ever come close enough to open the vagina at all?

| Since the activepushing just started when I posted it I hope everything is okay. She just had another strong contraction...she pushed and I held her tail up and kinda very gently pulled her vulva up with it because I saw the buldge was less than 1/4 inch away. The contraction ended and she went back inti her box to rest. BTW-now she is restimg in her box and coming out with each contraction...I think the puppy could have opened the inside with the last one but on the nside close...
