| Gosh, I would have thought $300 because she's fairly large for a yorkie and already past the 'puppy' stage. It's hard getting a dog that's almost a year old because you automatically figure there's a reason it's being rehomed(personality, not potty trained, etc.) Maybe you could ask $500 and accept a lower offer for the right home? Dogs can live a long time so if you're not happy being a 2 dog family, it's best to find her a home now(the older they get the harder it is). She can live 15 years, can you wait that long to be a one dog family? I don't think so. I don't think finding her a new home is a bad thing. She's been very well taken care of and loved and you finding her a home where she will be loved more is actually a good thing. I don't understand why people just always say 'keep her' because obviously you've thought this through and have your own reasons.

| Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Well this is really hard for me to hear because i know how excited you were to have these babies i am just concerned and please don't take this the wrong way but it seems that kizzy is bigger than you thought she was going to be and you post a lot about how upset you are that she isn't a tiny yorkie i really hope that this isn't the reason you want to sell her! She is beautiful and honestly if she is so well behaved as you say why get rid of her? Those two have already bonded and trust me maggie will go into depression if you sell kizzy. Please reconsider this for kizzy's sake you are all she has know for her whole life and these babies are so temperamental that re-homing her could devastate her. Please don't take me the wrong way i do enjoy seeing you here on YT and both your girls i just want you to know it's ok to have a bigger yorkie look at all the beautiful ones we have here on YT and some of the bigger ones are the most beautiful. Good luck in what you decide and if you do re-home her please choose a family who will love her as much as you do. Good luck !

| I know it can be overwhelming having more than one. My family cicumstances right now and for the past few months have been really crazy and upsetting, last night I was bringing the groceries in and watched my 4 dogs sniffing the bags on the floor and I thought to myself "why in the world do I have 4 dogs????" but when I went to bed last night and everyone assumed their positions in bed with me, made their cute little going to sleep noises and watched over me as I drifted off to sleep I quickly remembered why I have 4...I love them sooo much..they bring me such joy and make me laugh all the time. Yes I am soo completely busy with them...4 month, 8 months, a new member who is 4 years old and learning all over again, and my big Boykin Spaniel who is also 4....they do require my full attention..two im still housebreaking...one has a few behaviour issues and it can get stressful at times but I CHOSE that decision and I couldnt now look at one and say...your out...lol...I just couldnt do it... Good Luck with your decision, it will be difficult Im sure..keep us posted.. Dawn |

| Wow, I'm surprised to hear this. I know how much you love Kizzy, and how much joy you've gotten out of watching the sisters bond. I think maybe you're just going through one of life's discouraging passages. I'm glad you sd. you're not going to make any rash decisions until you're feeling better. I'd sure hate for you to do something that you'll regret! I too think that $500 might be a little steep.

but your smaller puppy is really going to miss her - I've seen your pictures and they even sleep together - it's too cute - my girls didn't do that for months after I got Cheri.

| [QUOTE=Amber_lv][She is beautiful and honestly if she is so well behaved as you say why get rid of her? thanks for meaning this in the kindest way,and i mean this in the kindest way. you have been reading my post about what a good dog and smart dog she is so i have no reason to lie about her and i wouldnt. a liar i am not, but thanks for your assumption. size does not have anything to do with it or i would of gotten rid of her before now as she weighed over 7 lbs before i paid to have her spayed and microchipped and before i spent so much money on her for beds, toys, harnesses, leashes, collar with her name and phone # engraved on it,etc.. if the personalities were reversed i would be thinking of rehoming maggie as i havent spent that much on her plus i paid less for her. as far as size maggie is only 5 months old and could still have a big growth spurt for all i know. she could end up bigger than kizzy since her mom did weigh 8 lbs and kizzys supposedly weighed 5 lbs. their dads both weighed a little under 4 lbs. please dont take this the wrong way, but i did want to explain in a little more detail so you wouldnt think i was trying to scam anyone. depression for a dog i dont consider as important as depression for me. i have a family who are real and i put them before my dogs. i have a lot on my plate right now that i dont care to share and only needed ideas for a price, . i only wanted to ask a fair price for her. now i got a couple of rough ideas about that i will consider what to ask for her. thanks for everyones opinions and i do understand you were all thinking of kizzys future. my arm is not the whole problem, i only wish it were.

| I got both Rocco and Rosie when they were about a year old and I don't think 500 is steep at all. I payed way over that for Rosie. It was my personal preference to buy one that age. I know others that have paid over 1000 for an older yorkie also. So no to me that young of an age shouldn't be a factor when setting the price. |

| I paid 500.00 for Carley. I got her from her original breeder, after her 1st owner took her back at 6 months old. The original owner paid the breeder 1500.00 for her. When I got Carley, she was spayed and microchipped, and also pee pad trained. I felt that paying 500.00 was almost like getting a free dog, because I would have spent that in shots and microchipping and spaying for a new puppy. I still don't see how the original owner could bear to part with her, but then I try to remember that I didn't/don't know her situation and you can't know what other people are dealing with unless you have walked in their shoes. Linda, I wish you all the best in whatever your decision is and I also hope your arm heals up quickly.

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | I would keep her. Your other dog will miss her terribly! I truly hope that you change your mind. Otherwise, I'd say that $400 is a fair price.

| First, I wanted to say that I hope all is well with you and your family! AND if this is a rough patch in your life, I hope it smooths over soon and both girls get to stay with you........ But on that note, if you are unhappy w/ Kizzy.....she NEEDS a good home. It would be better for her to go into a loving home that will shower her w/ the attention and time she needs. I didn't catch all of her thread or your other posts........so I do not know what her personality is like or why you don't like her personality.....may I ask what it is about her that you are not liking??? I don't know what I would do w/o Mojo.......that sweet little guy has never gotten on my nerves at all.......course, so far in my life, none of my pets ever have........what can I say....guess I am more of an animal person than a people person (is that bad?) ha! I am really concerned about her. That poor baby........I would gladly give her a good home (even though we have 3 big dogs, that is including our neighbors dog, Rusty, and then Mojo). I just worry about her well-being.....after all, no one (even a pet) wants or deserves to be in a home where they aren't wanted. Oh, I am soooo sad!!! I would think that between $300-400 is a fair price for her......I know she has had several things done, but w/ her being older and (sad to say) but in todays "market" her size will play a big part in it to. BUT if all of her belongings go w/ her, maybe a higher price. PLEASE, PLEASE....if you decide to "get rid of her" ....don't just get rid of her, find her a good home! After all, this little girl deserves it! Take care and I hope all is well.......no one here knows your circumstances, so please don't take peoples thoughts the wrong way. Look forward to hearing what happens w/ you and Kizzy!
