Aubrey, if she's on day 12 now, she's probably going to ovulate within the next couple of days. She should start flagging, it would be ideal to have a tie every other day. Hopefully today will be the day. Once it's too late, you'll have to wait another 6 months. You could try holding her gently (she may just be hardheaded not flag at all) and see how that goes. Debbie Jensens site has alot of helpful information regarding mating.

When and If they do lock, make sure she is completely controlled. You don't want her turning on the male and attacking his face/head or trying to get away and injuring one or both of them.

If the female is growling I wouldn't force the issue. Have never had to before, but maybe my females are just easy. I really think the females know when the timing is right and if they are not ovulating the mating doesn't do any good anyway. The only part I play in it is keeping her calm and still after the tie.

When did the red bleeding stop? Typically, ovulation occurs 3 to 5 days after that, but, of course, nothing is ever as easy as typical.

Most likely the first mating wasn't good then, but the second one could have been since sperm can live for about 48 hours. Hopefully, she'll change her attitude in the next two days.

Typical breeding for all my Vets and Breeder friends as well, start breeding at day 13 after the 1st day of blood. But if there is one thing I know about Yorkie Breeding, is they are NEVER typical! But honestly, you will probably be fine in a couple of days.
