![]() Oh, no. Actually, she said that they "beat the daylights" out of her when she hurts the pup. And actually, she has only really hurt him once, physically, and that was a small bump on his head. The other times, it just hurt his feelings, because he was trying to play with her and she didn't want to have anything to do with him. So, no, they are definitely scolding her when she acts out.

![]() Westies are on the smaller side, however, they pack a powerful punch without even trying to. One that is aggressive could cause a lot of damage to a fragile Yorkie pup. I remember saying this before your friend took the pup. Obedience classes are a great idea. However, a Westie tends to use their front paws a lot to get what they want....even a very well behaved, sweet one can accidently put a hurting on a Yorkie pup (or adult). Don't get me wrong, I LOVE WESTIES. Your friend is in quite a perdicament...I'm sure she loves them both tremendously.

![]() Willow, I was going to ask the same thing. I don't think beating a dog will do any good, if anything it will make matters worse. I have a 10 year old sheppard mix and when we brought home Peanut she was great. It has been 3 months and she was never done more than growl. He drives her nuts sometimes, but she has never tried to hurt him. I hope all works out.

![]() Wiillow & VickiG, Yes, it was just an expression. They did discipline the Westie, but I think it was a pop on the rear & putting her in a separate room for awhile - - alone.
