I came here to lurk many times before I ever joined. I have seen many many hateful post by usually the same people. They do alot of attacking for No reason. I have seen many reputable breeders come here and post in a mature "NICE" way. But apparently your friend needs a class in "how to treat people with respect!" While you are at it you can explain to me what the "blacklist is"?

Actually, "blacklist" is something I've only heard mentioned by past members...probably not the best people to get your facts from...

Good post. Can we please get back to the original topic? Dimaond really needs help with her mama dog and babies ... so let's all be supportive and give her that help instead of arguing.

If you happen to have a SuperWal-Mart you can purchase what is called "Meyenberg Evaporated Goat Milk". It is in the baking isle with the evaporated milk section. You can also give this to your dam when she is pregnant and after whelping. You can also offer it to the puppies once they are old enough (3-4 weeks old).

You can also put "Pedialyte" in her drinking water to help keep her electrolytes up. I personally use the inflavored one.

There is also a product called "Rebound" that works well. I have attached the link for it.

There is also a pudding recipe that you can offer the dam during her pregnancy, after whelping and to the puppies once they are around 3 weeks of age. I will find it and post it to this thread.

The above link will take you to a store that will ship "Rollover". I love this product. I use it also if I might have a dam that is not eating, sometimes putting this over their food or just letting them eat this will get them an appetite. It also works great in the showring or training for bait.

Here is the pudding recipe and it can also be offered to puppies that are at least 3 weeks of age.

PUDDING RECIPE
Mix the following in a saucepan and cook to pudding consistency
2/3 cup sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk *SEE BELOW
4 egg yolks
3 teaspoons vanilla
Feed with syringe, on spoon, or just let them eat it out of the bowl!

*You can also use one can of evaporated milk plus equal parts of water to make a quart, instead of using milk.

This pudding is full or protein and nourishment. I personally have never had it cause diarrhea!

My breeder will give her nursing Moms cottage cheese,and yogurt. I'm sure that she gives her other things. There was a post on here yesterday listing items that SHOULD NOT be given to dogs...I can't remember which post it was but Ham was NOT a good thing to give your dog...has ALOT of fat in it and can cause pancreatitis. There were other things listed as well....you may want to find that post..
