| If Yorkie breeders did not breed, yorkietalk would not be here. Mutt owners that let their dogs roam the streets at night, this is where the cause of over population is. It is these mutt owners that need to be stopped. Since when is there a supply and demand problem with Yorkies? Last edited by gator70; 08-20-2006 at 07:36 PM. |

No no no no no no. You have it all wrong. There is a much bigger problem than the "mutt" owners.

you're right - if YORKIE Breeders didn't breed - we wouldn't have them - but the KEY WORD IS YORKIE BREEDER - There is a BIG difference in an actual Breeder and someone who breeds a yorkie. Besides - the article isn't only about yorkies. It was just an informative article that I hadn't seen before ...please don't get upset about it. It's for people to read and think about only. so....don't worry - be happy !

oh and sorry - but the term 'Mutt owners' is way off. I have lots of people in my neighborhood with PURE breeds - Labs....Rotties - and believe me - they are the ones roaming the streets. We just had a little boy mauled by one. It def was NOT a MIX. (sorry - I don't like the term mutt)

| Anyone who thinks there is not enough demand for Yorkie puppies should see the 700 emails that come in each month acquiring about puppies. They should see the AKC statistics that there were 42,000 + Yorkie puppies registered last year. NOT ONE of these 700 people want a rescue, pound animal. It is the buyer you need to contact with your political agenda. The mutts that run around the neighborhood each night making females pregnant is where our surplus dogs come from. Usually these are not AKC dogs. And this year alone there were 2 million new dog owners in the USA. Spay and neuter the mutts and you will close the gap between supply and demand. So find another home for this discussion! |

| What you want is a heated discussion so you feel you have someone’s attention. This will be my last comment. I do not want to feed the fire with fuel. |

LOLOLOL !! Political Agenda ? hahaha ....thanks. I kind of like that. I'm so not political it's embarrassing. I need to show this to my husband - he needs a good laugh. I simply posted an article for people read - they can take it or leave it - comments are welcome but please don't try to make it something it isn't.....I did NOT post that to get a HEATED discussion going...but you're doing a good job of just that. It's all cool - I don't mind the comments - but try staying on the subject....That article is about thinking before making a decision to have puppies - not about how people TAKE CARE OF THEIR PETS. Sorry it offended you so much - but no one forced you to read it.

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh ..one more thing Gator. Sorry about the edits - but I hate long posts and cut out some things I said - it's not worth it. Where do you suggest this get moved to ? Why not ask Admin to move it if it's that important to you. ? ....It won't bother me in the least...I'm easy. but I will say this to you - I don't post ANYTHING to get people riled up. I've seen enough of that here in the past - and I'm glad to say it hardly happens here anymore. That just plain isn't my style. I love to post - but only things that MAY help someone. I don't look for debates. ya Chachi - I'm think I'm having DejaVu's right about now lol |
